Basu Poribar

Basu Paribaar is a 2019 Bengali film directed by Suman Ghosh. Soumitra Chatterjee and Aparna Sen plays the lead role. It marks the reunification of the actors after 18 years. They last paired in Paromitar Ekdin (2000) directed by Aparna Sen.[1][2] The movie was released on April 5, 2019.

Unrevealed Film Plot

The film revolves around an ancient house, “Komolini”. This place is occupied by 50 years happily wedded couple Manjari (Aparna Sen) and her husband (Soumitra Chattopadhay). They, in the occasion of celebrating their 50th Marriage Anniversary, invite all their relatives, son, daughter-in-law, everyone! While celebration, out comes a family secret yet to be known by everyone new in the family. What is this dark secret?

The film's shooting began in July 2017. It has been shot in various locations of West Bengal including Mahishadal Rajbari.[1]
