The library offers free of cost access to the researchers and interested readers to collect the necessary information to fulfill their needs for their academic and literary activities.

This library, as found to be the first Little Magazine Library in the district of Murshidabad, offers awards (in association with its parent concern Basabhumi Patrika) to the persons led the little magazine movements in the country, and to the Bengali Magazine which found to be the best (as per their contribution to the society) in a particular year, typically entitled "Best Bengali Little Magazine Award".[2]
