Barbara Erskine

Barbara Erskine (born 10 August 1944) is an English novelist. She was born in Nottingham in 1944. Her father was World War II Battle of Britain flying ace Squadron Leader Nigel Rose.

Erskine has a degree in medieval Scottish history from Edinburgh University and divides her time between Hay-on-Wye and North Essex.[1][2]

Erskine is the author of a number of bestselling novels and collections of short stories dealing with both history and the supernatural. Lady of Hay, her first novel, has now sold over three million copies worldwide since its first publication in 1986.[3]
