Recently the Indian Railways added two new railway lines to this station. Two new lines are Banspani-Barbil line and Banspani-Barsuan line. Many Indian Railway Zones like South Eastern Railway, South Central Railway, East Coast Railway are running the trains experimentally on this route and via the Banspani Junction to clarify and observe the next vision to run the trains.
