As the name suggests, this station will serve as junction for 3 train services, running on 3 branches which converge at this station.

History

On 9 May 2018, LTA announced that Bahar Junction station would be part of the proposed Jurong Region line (JRL). The station will be constructed as part of Phase 1, JRL (West), consisting of 10 stations between Choa Chu Kang, Boon Lay and Tawas, and is expected to be completed in 2026.[4]

The Contract J105 for the design and construction of Bahar Junction Station and associated viaducts was awarded to China Railway 11 Bureau Group (Singapore Branch) at a sum of S$210.1 million. Construction will start in 2020, with completion in 2026.[5][6] The Contract J105 also includes the design and construction of Jurong West Station, and associated viaducts.[7][8]

Location

The station complex will be straddled over the existing Jurong West Avenue 4 and the junction with Jurong West Street 75 and Jurong West Street 64, due to the T-shaped layout of the station complex. It is located within the Jurong West planning area between the Jurong West Central and Yunnan Subzones,[9] nested by multiple housing estates, and multiple places of worship to the north.

Access to the station will be via 6 exits on each side of Jurong West Avenue 4, Jurong West Street 75 and Jurong West Street 64.[10]

Services

When completed, it will serve the following services:

gollark: Think of all those people with only v6 connectivity. There are certainly a few of them. Mostly on really cheap VPSes and such because IPv4 addresses are a significant fraction of their cost.
gollark: Valid. However, apioforms MAY visit those who do not support IPv6.
gollark: It provides v6 over v4 tunnels.
gollark: What of tunnelbroker.net?
gollark: [REDACTED]
