Biography

Mallié was born in Avellaneda (Buenos Aires Province), son of Augusto Emilio Mallié and Julia Rouquaud Périchon,[4] belonging to a family of French roots.[5] He began his career as clerk of the General Archive of the Argentine Nation. He retired after working for thirty-seven years at the institution.[6] He had a preponderant role as Director of the Archive General, performing the complete transcription of Acuerdos del extinguido Cabildo de Buenos Aires, a work of high historical value for the Argentine Republic.[7]

Augusto S. Mallié was the maternal grandson of Ernesto Rouquaud, a pioneer in the exploration and colonization of Patagonia.[8]
