Asit Vora

Asit Ravindraprasad Vora (born; 4 August 1959) is 26th and was Mayor of Ahmedabad as well as a senior Bhartiya Janata Party politician from Maninagar. He also serves as Senior Manager at Ahmedabad's Arvind Mills.[1]

Political career

He got elected for the first time from Maninagar ward as a Municipal Councilor in 1987. At that time Brahmin Jayendra Pandit became the first BJP Mayor in Gujarat.[2] Since he got elected for the first time, he has held various positions in different terms.[2]
