Armend Thaqi

Armend Qazim Thaqi, also spelled Thaçi, (born 10 October 1992) is a Kosovan professional footballer who plays as a defender for Prishtina and the Kosovo national team.

Club career

After a youth career at KF Hajvalia, Thaqi joined Football Superleague of Kosovo side Prishtina in June 2013.[1] After three years with Prishtina he transferred to Gjilani in July 2016,[2] before rejoining Prishtina in May 2018.[3] Thaqi made his second Prishtina debut in first qualifying round of UEFA Europa League against Luxembourgian side Fola Esch.[4][5] He was also named to the Football Superleague of Kosovo Team of the Year in 2018.[6]

International career

Thaqi made his Kosovo debut in November 2017, coming on as a substitute in the 83rd minute for Fidan Aliti in a friendly match against Latvia[7]
