Armando Bandini

Armando Bandini (born Armando Burlando; June 5, 1926 – May 27, 2011) was an Italian actor and voice actor.[1]

Biography

Born in Genoa, Bandini began his career as an actor during the 1950s under the guidance of Gilberto Govi.[2] He appeared in over 25 films and among his most popular appearances includes Don Camillo: Monsignor in which he portrayed Don Carlino. Bandini even worked as a voice dubber.[3] He performed the Italian voices of some major Hollywood stars in at least one of two of their films. His most prominent dubbing role is the Italian voice of Chi-Fu in the 1998 animated film Mulan.

Personal life

In the late 1940s, Bandini married stage actress Emma Fedeli and they were together until her death in 1980. He then married actress Daniela Igliozzi.

Death

Bandini died in Rome on May 27th 2011 just a week and a half before his 85th birthday.[4] He was survived by his wife Daniela Igliozzi.
