Ariel Lassiter

Ariel "Ari" Daniel Lassiter Acuña (born September 27, 1994) is a Costa Rican professional footballer who currently plays as a striker for Alajuelense at the Liga FPD.

Club career

On December 17, 2014, he announced he had signed with LA Galaxy II.[1] On March 5, 2016, the Galaxy announced Lassiter had signed a first-team contract.[2]

Lassiter was released by LA Galaxy at the end of their 2018 season.[3] On December 18, 2018, he signed with Costa Rican club Alajuelense.[4]

International

He made his debut for Costa Rica national football team on 22 March 2019 in a friendly against Guatemala, as a 63rd-minute substitute for Waylon Francis.[5]

Personal life

Lassiter is son of former United States international footballer Roy Lassiter and was born in Costa Rica while his father played for [Municipal Turrialba].[6] Lassiter was raised in the United States and represented the nation twice at U23 level in 2015, later in the year he switched his allegiance to Costa Rica representing the nation in the 2015 Toulon Tournament.[7]
