Afghanistan

On July 10, 2018, Dastgir was announced by the Afghanistan Football Federation as the new head coach of the Afghanistan football team succeeding Otto Pfister.[3] Dastgir has commented that Afghanistan's unique challenge in its player pool is most of his players are based in Europe as there is no professional league in the country.[4][5]
