Annai Bhoomi 3D

Annai Bhoomi 3D is a 1985 Tamil action film directed by R. Thyagarajan, starring Vijayakanth and Radha Ravi in lead roles. Annai Bhoomi was the first 3D film made in Tamil film industry.[1] The movie received positive reviews and was a success at the box office. It was later dubbed in Hindi as Bhoomi Puthr.[2] The film was remade in Kannada as Namma Bhoomi 3D starring Charan Raj and Tiger Prabhakar in lead roles.

Production

Devar Films wanted to produce 3D film with Rajinikanth as Annai Bhoomi. Rajini didn't want to risk it and recommended Vijayakanth. Due to a misunderstanding, Rajini and Devar Films parted ways.[3]

Soundtrack

The highly successful soundtrack was composed by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja and sung by S. P. Balasubramanyam, Malaysia Vasudevan and S. Janaki.[4]
