Annaatthe

Annaatthe is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by Siva. produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures. The film has an ensemble cast comprising Rajinikanth, Meena, Kushboo Sundar, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Prakash Raj, Soori, Sathish and Vela Ramamoorthy.[1] The music for the film will be composed by D. Imman while cinematography and editing are performed by Vetri and Ruben, respectively.[2]

Production

Production of the film began with the working title Thalaivar 168. Sun Pictures announced that they would collaborate with Rajinikanth again after their previous collaboration Petta with Siva of Viswasam fame directing the film.[4] On 19 November 2019, the producer was announced D. Imman as the film's composer.[5] Filming began on 18 December 2019.[6]

The film's title Annaatthe was revealed on 24 February 2020. It was also revealed that the technical crew of director Siva's previous film, Viswasam were also retained for this film as well, including editor Ruben, cinematographer Vetri and art director Milan.[7][8]

Soundtrack

The soundtrack for the film will be composed by D. Imman, continuing his association with director Siva while collaborating for the first time with actor Rajinikanth. The lyrics are written by Viveka and Mani Amuthavan.[5][7]
