Anija Parish

Anija Parish (Estonian: Anija vald) is a rural county in northern Estonian state of Harju. The municipality has a population of 6,197 (as of 1 January 2012) and covers an area of 520.94 km2 (201 sq mi). The population density is 11.8958/km2 (30.8100/sq mi).[2]

The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Kehra Town, with population of 3,196. There are 31 villages in Anija Parish.

The current mayor (vallavanem) is Tiit Tammaru[3] and chairman of the council (volikogu esimees) is Jaan Oruaas.[4]
