Ana Lúcia Souza
Ana Lúcia Souza (born 10 June 1982, in São Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian naturalized American artist, whose artistic path started in Germany as a ballet dancer. Souza was a soloist at the extinct Das Meininger Ballett [1], she later joined the world renowned Stuttgart Ballet[2] [3] and ended her professional ballet career after resigning her contract at Les Ballets de Monte Carlo in the Principality of Monaco. [4] Souza moved to New York, studied film and theater at The Lee Strasberg Institute, worked as a film and television producer and director[5], as well as an arts correspondent [6] and science writer[7]. Her current body of work comprises poetry, neon art installations and film[8][9][10][11][12][13].
