History

Foundation

The club was founded in 1972 as Società Polisportiva Scoppito.[2]

Serie D

In the season 2011–12 the team was promoted for the first time, from Eccellenza Abruzzo to Serie D.[3]

Merger

In summer 2013 S.P.D. Amitermina merged with S.P.D. Scoppito, another team from the same city, to form a new team called S.P.D. AmiterninaScoppito.
