Amer Gojak

Amer Gojak (Bosnian pronunciation: [ǎmer ɡôjaːk]; born 13 February 1997) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Gojak started his professional career at Olimpic, before joining Dinamo Zagreb in 2015.

A former youth international for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gojak made his senior international debut in 2018, earning 10 caps since.

Club career

Early career

Gojak came through youth academy of his hometown club Željezničar, which he joined in the summer of 2009 from a local team.[2]

In January 2014, he moved to Olimpic.[3] He made his professional debut against Velež on 1 March at the age of 17.[4] On 15 March, he scored his first professional goal against Rudar Prijedor, which secured his team the victory.[5]

Dinamo Zagreb

On 12 May 2014, Gojak was transferred to Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb for an undisclosed fee.[6] He made his official debut for the team in a cup game against Istra 1961 on 3 March 2015.[7] Three weeks later, he made his league debut against the same opponent.[8] Gojak won his first trophy with the club on 2 May 2015, when they were crowned league champions.[9]

He scored his first goal for Dinamo Zagreb against Lokomotiva on 14 May 2016.[10]

On 15 September 2016, aged 19, Gojak made his UEFA Champions League debut against Lyon.[11]

In March 2017, he extended his contract until June 2022.[12]

On 29 April, Gojak scored four goals in home win over Cibalia.[13]

On 26 May 2019, he made his 100th appearance for Dinamo Zagreb against biggest rivals Hajduk Split.[14]

International career

Gojak represented Bosnia and Herzegovina on all youth levels.[15]

In March 2017, he received his first senior call-up, for games against Gibraltar and Albania,[16] but had to wait until 15 November 2018 to make his debut, in UEFA Nations League game against Austria.[17]

On 5 September 2019, in UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier against Liechtenstein, Gojak scored a brace, his first senior international goals.[18]
