Amanda Asay
Amanda Asay (born May 16, 1988 in Prince George, British Columbia) is a Canadian baseball and ice hockey player. She is a member of the Canada women's national baseball team which won a silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games.[1][2][3]

Playing career
NCAA
Asay competed at Brown University in softball.[4]
Baseball
She has competed with the Canadian national team in seven IBAF Women's World Cups (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018). At the 2006 and edition of the IBAF Women's World Cup, she was named to the tournament all-star team. Of note, she logged a .500 batting average while accumulating nine RBI's.

Personal
She earned a Masters of Science degree from the University of British Columbia. Currently, she is the second year of PhD studies at UBC in the faculty of Forestry. She is a student of Forest Ecologist Suzanne Simard and has appeared alongside her supervisor in the documentary film "Intelligent trees".[9]
