Alta Mesa Memorial Park
Alta Mesa Memorial Park is a non-denominational burial ground located in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County, California. It was established in 1904 as a 72-acre cemetery.[1] It includes traditional burial plots, a mausoleum and a columbarium.[1]

- Kathleen Thompson Norris, American novelist[7]

- Herold Ruel, major-league American baseball player[9]
- William Shockley, developed transistor and won Nobel Prize for Physics[10]
- Frederick Terman, considered (along with Shockley) the father of Silicon Valley[11]
- Shirley Temple, American film and television actress, singer, dancer, and public servant[12]
- Y.A. Tittle, football player[13]
- Stephen Timoshenko, Professor of Applied Mechanics, Stanford University and namesake of the Timoshenko Medal[14]
- Sidney Dean Townley, Professor of Astronomy, Stanford University
- Ray Lyman Wilbur, physician, third president of Stanford University and 31st U.S. Secretary of the Interior (cremated, but not interred here)[15]
- Bertha Wright, founder of the Children's Hospital Oakland[16][17]
