Background

World War I is the basis of this concept album which explores across its three tracks the themes of separation in the time of war, the futility of the warfare, and ultimately, hope for victory.[1] Released on Memorial Day, the album is dedicated to former bass player Karl Lane whom passed of cancer in 2014.[3][4]

Reception

About All These Things Matt Crosslin of Downthelinezine.com wrote: "I can hear everything from early U2 to emo in each song, all blended cleverly into a coherent whole. The only problem with this is the length: only three songs leaves you wanting more. But the three songs you get pack quite a punch." [5]

Hans Werksman of music weblog Here Comes The Flood wrote of the album: "The band doesn't use many words, but make sure that each one of them counts. With shifting time signatures and vocals on the brink of straying off pitch All These Things is a required taste, but like any good music it puts up both a challenge and invitation to dig deeper into the subject matter."
