The Aiways U5 is powered by an electric motor producing 190 hp and 350 Nm, with a 63 kWh battery pack giving a range up to 460 kilometres (290 mi) NEDC, according to Aiways.[4] The Aiways U5 is expected to have a starting price of 197,900 yuan to 292,100 yuan and 503 kilometer range, upgradable to 623 kilometer.[5]

As of January 2020, the U5 is planned to be made available to the left-hand-drive European market in April 2020.[6]
