History

Built and opened in 1950, it can hold up to 2267 spectators. On one occasion, a record 4067 fans were seated within the precinct in 1979.[1] Two new platforms were constructed in 1994.[1] To honor former chairman Dimitris Kontikakis, the club board decided to change the stadium's name to Dimitris Kontikakis Stadium.[3]

Improvements and maintenance work were done to the stadium to preserve it for the upcoming 2015–16 season.[4]

In January 2017, a home game was adjourned until a later date as ice was present in the corners of the pitch which posed an inevitable risk to footballers.[5]

gollark: You're *meant* to get a license key, and in any case your OEM is likely paying.
gollark: "Free as in freedom", as it is said.
gollark: They, er, politely ask you to get a license key so they can charge you for it, and it's not Free™.
gollark: No it's not.
gollark: I just run `pacman -Syu` every week or so, and can do that in the background with basically no disruption except it eating interweb bandwidth.
