Adolpho Bloch

Adolpho Bloch GCIH, born Avram Yossievitch Bloch (Ukrainian: Аврам Йоссійович Блох; Russian: Аврам Йосиевич Блох) (Zhytomyr, Russian Empire, 8 October 1908 — São Paulo, 19 November 1995) was one of the most important press and television tycoons in Brazil. Founder of the Bloch Group, he created the weekly magazine Manchete in 1952, and he also established the television network Rede Manchete in 1983.

He was a cousin of author Pedro Bloch.[1]
