The company owns a network of 26 industrial parks located in the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, and Slovakia, which are all eco-friendly. Majority of their properties is awarded by environmental certification BREEAM.[2]

In 2018, Accolade Group owned and leased altogether 750 000 sqm of the fully finished industrial area available for rent.[3] In 2019, the portfolio of their commercial properties reached the size of 1,3 million sqm and was worth of almost €1,134 billion. Projects planned for 2020 include a rentable area of almost 1,8 million sqm featuring not only new buildings but also revitalized brownfields of old manufacturing areas.[2]

In 2014, a fund of industrial properties, Accolade Fund Sicav, was established, providing an investment opportunity for qualified investors to become a part of industrial development all around Europe.[4]

Since 2017, Accolade Group has also been owning the second busiest airport in the Czech Republic, Brno-Tuřany Airport. In addition, the company has announced upcoming preparation of a proving ground for the development and certification of autonomous vehicles near the West Bohemian town of Stříbro.[5]

The group has been an active participant in the field of social responsibility. For years, they have been providing support for sheltered housing and social therapeutic workshops by non-profit organisation Mela. Furtherly, they engage in scientific projects (Neuron Awards), culture (International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary)[6], even in sports (Česká spořitelna - Accolade cycling team), and in collaboration with regional-administrations contributes into prosperity of regions where operates.

History

Accolade Group was established in 2011 and is owned by Milan Kratina and Zdeněk Šoustal. They both still actively participate in preparations and realizations of the projects and seek new opportunities for further growth and development.[7]

In 2014, the company expanded to Poland, where it has become the centre of production and activities of many world-class companies, as a result of the open access to the investors mainly from Western European companies. A significant part of the Polish industrial parks is located where brownfields used to be. Locations were brought back to life and created job vacancies with an added value.[8]

Since its establishment, the company has managed to build up a wide commercial property portfolio all around the Czech Republic and Poland.[9] Since 2018, Accolade has been investing in industrial projects also in Germany,[10] and since 2019, the portfolio got enlarged by Slovakia.[11] Their dynamical growth was also recognized by prestigious publication Financial Times, when they got assigned with the 56th place on the list of fastest-growing companies in Europe, and also rank them among top 5 in the field of real-estate whilst being number one in the Czech Republic.[12]

Accolade Group invests solely to the buildings with BREEAM certification assessed as at least “Very Good“ in the Czech Republic, respectively as “Good“ in Poland. This certification guarantees a high level of environmental friendliness, good working conditions for employees, and energetical self-sufficiency of the building.[14]

Accolade´s building prepared for cosmetics distribution centre Estée Launder, operated by DHL in Cheb industrial zone, is certified as BREEAM Excellent. Hence, is listed among the best-rated buildings within the region of Central Europe.[15]

Industrial tradition perpetuation

Group actively seeks locations with traditions and brings new life to the old industrial areas. Share of revitalized brownfields has exceeded 50 % in Poland and represents 22 % in the Czech Republic. Revitalization of an old area is also planned for German town Bochum, where the modern hall is about to replace a former OPEL factory.[16]
