Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage (transl.I Started Liking You) is a 2002 Indian Hindi romantic action drama film, directed by Vikram Bhatt, starring Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel in the lead roles. It was the second time the pair were cast alongside each other after the movie Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, but the film was declared a flop at the box office.[1]

Plot

Sapna is the only daughter of an underworld don,Pratap.She lost her mother in childhood.She doesn't like the brutal killings and unsafe world of Pratap and brother,Raman,but she and her sister-in-law Nisha can never leave their home for their safety,even she studies at home despite attending a college for education.Nisha always consoles her saying that one day her prince will come and rescue her from this 'cage'.

Sapna attends her best friend's wedding without informing her family and upon returning,is attacked by a group of Pratap's rival gang.Rohit witnesses the attack and rescues Sapna,he immediately falls for her.But before they get to know each other,she is taken away by Pratap's men.

The next day,Rohit gets Sapna's name and address on a newspaper and manages his friend Sandy to get him to her home as a guitarist on the night of Navaratri.The plan succeeds,Rohit and Sapna starts going out secretly and eventually she meets his parents,who welcome her lovingly.Soon their relationship is discovered by Nisha and she warns her about Pratap's brutal nature.Meanwhile,Pratap invites his friend's son from London with a plan of marrying Sapna off and send her away for safety.

When Rohit calls Sapna,Nisha and Sapna tries to convince Rohit that separation is best for both of them,as Pratap will kill Rohit if he learns about their affair.On the night of engagement,Sapna leaves with Rohit and settles in his hostel,because this is the only place where Pratap won't even think of searching.His roommates are hostile at first,but then accepts her.After discovering her disappearance,Pratap checks their incoming telephone calls and finds Rohit's number.He goes to his hostel,only to assure them of their marriage and brings Sapna home.

Sapna,happily tells Nisha about her upcoming marriage to Rohit,but Nisha tells her that it was an eyewash by Pratap and she will be sent to London.Raman and his men beat Rohit brutally and after assuming him dead,he informs Pratap,which Sapna overhears and takes sleeping pills.She leaves a suicide note and leaves for London,but is interrupted by Rohit,he then kills Raman and all the goons and rushes Sapna to hospital.Pratap and Nisha also arrives with Rohit's friends and parents.Pratap realizes his mistake and this time genuinely agrees to their marriage.

Music composer Anu Malik was signed to score the music of the film. However, he was replaced by Rajesh Roshan. Lyrics were provided by Dev Kohli and Ibrahim Ashq.
