Sarone were promoted to Serie D following a 1st-place finish in the Eccellenza Friuli-Venezia Giulia in 2006–07, but only managed to play at such level for one season, as they ended their 2007–08 campaign in bottom place, being therefore relegated back to Eccellenza, where they currently play.
