22nd Chemical Battalion (United States)
The 22d Chemical Battalion is a chemical battalion of the United States Army first organized on 26 November 1917.[1]

- Organized 26 November 1917 in the National Army at Washington, D.C. as Company C, 30th Engineers
- Converted and redesignated 13 July 1918 as Company C, 1st Gas Regiment
- Demobilized 28 February 1919 at Camp Kendrick, New Jersey
- Reconstituted 3 February 1920 in the Regular Army as Company C, 1st Gas Regiment, and organized at Edgewood Arsenal, Maryland
- Reorganized and redesignated 13 July 1927 as the 1st Chemical Company
- Reorganized and redesignated 1 April 1931 as the 1st Separate Chemical Company
- Reorganized and redesignated 21 March 1942 as the 1st Chemical Company
- Inactivated 29 May 1943 at Camp Sibert, Alabama
- Activated 10 March 1958 at Fort McClellan, Alabama
- Redesignated 19 May 1958 as the 22d Chemical Company
- Inactivated 20 July 1966 in Vietnam
- Assigned 21 September 1979 to the 3d Armored Division and activated in Germany
- Inactivated 15 August 1992 in Germany and relieved from assignment to the 3d Armored Division
- Redesignated 16 October 2004 as the 22d Chemical Battalion (Technical Escort) and activated at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland[1]
