Controversy
In his 2017 autobiography Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored, Rishi Kapoor revealed that he paid someone ₹30,000 (equivalent to ₹720,000 or US$10,000 in 2019) to win him the Best Actor award for Bobby, beating Amitabh Bachchan's performance for Zanjeer. However, he is not certain if the person he paid actually had connections to the Filmfare committee, or if he was just a conman.[1]
