Host country

The 2024 Copa América will be hosted by Ecuador due to CONMEBOL's host rotation order.[3] However, CONMEBOL president Alejandro Dominguez said that Ecuador has been nominated but not yet chosen to organize the cup. Peru has also expressed its intention to organize the tournament.[4] The 2024 Copa América was originally scheduled for 2023, but was moved to 2024 in order to coincide with UEFA Euro 2024.

Teams

All ten CONMEBOL national teams are eligible to enter.

It is expected that a 12-team or 16-team tournament will be held, with two or six teams from outside CONMEBOL being invited.

Venues

Ecuador has already started studies to modernize stadiums for the tournament.[5][6][7]

gollark: There was some "Pebble" smartwatch which had some of this, but they got acquired and now all is bee.
gollark: I actually *would* like an osmarksßsmartwatch with features like:- NOT having an entire power-hungry application processor to run Android (why would you *want* that?)- several week battery life- one of those cool "memory LCD" things as its display- extremely accurate timekeeping- highly "retro" infrared link to computers- one-time-password handling for 2FA- highly programmable alarms- excessive amounts of sensors (with aggressive power gating)
gollark: Imagine being outside.
gollark: I suppose you could have a unary input and "enter" instead of a binary input thing and "enter".
gollark: There are three (3) buttons used to input FORTH code.
