2020 World Para Athletics European Championships

The 2020 World Para Athletics European Championships is an upcoming track and field competition for athletes with a disability open to International Paralympic Committee (IPC) affiliated countries within Europe.[1] This will be the 7th edition of the event.[1][2] This will also be the first time that the event is held in Poland. Around 600 athletes are expected to compete at the event.[3]

History

The event was originally scheduled to be held between 3 and 7 June 2020. On 26 March 2020 it was announced that the event would be postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic,[3] and in June it was confirmed that the postponement would be until 2021.[4]

Venue

The venue for the event will be the Zdzisław Krzyszkowiak Stadium.
