2020 Swiss Open (badminton)

The 2020 Swiss Open (officially known as the Yonex Swiss Open 2020 for sponsorship reasons) is a badminton tournament which was originally scheduled to take place at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland, from 17 to 22 March 2020 and has a total purse of $175,000. However, on 9 June 2020, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) announced it has cancelled the tournament due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.[1]

Tournament

The 2020 Swiss Open is the seventh tournament of the 2020 BWF World Tour and also part of the Swiss Open championships which have been held since 1955. This tournament is organized by the Swiss Badminton and sanctioned by the BWF.[2]

Venue

This international tournament will be held at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland.[2]
