2017–18 United Counties League
The constitution for Step 5 and Step 6 divisions for 2017–18 was announced on 26 May 2017.[1]

Premier Division
At the end of season 2016–17, the following teams left the Premier Division:
- Harrowby United, relegated to Division One
- Huntingdon Town, relegated to Division One
- Peterborough Sports, promoted to the Northern Premier League Division One South
The remaining 19 teams, together with the following, form the Premier Division for 2017–18:
- Daventry Town, promoted from Division One
- St Andrews, transferred from the Midland League
- Wellingborough Whitworth, promoted from Division One

- 12 of the 14 runners-up at Step 5 were to have been promoted to Step 4.
However, with resignations and mergers in leagues above, all fourteen runners-up were promoted. - Eynesbury Rovers were deducted three points for playing an ineligible player against Cogenhoe United on 16 January.
Division One
At the end of season 2016–17, the following teams left Division One:
- Daventry Town, promoted to the Premier Division
- Wellingborough Whitworth, promoted to the Premier Division
- Woodford United, relegated to the Northants Combination
