February 11: The Bosnian commercial Islamic radio station Radio BIR begins broadcasting from Sarajevo.[1]
February 23: FM Hatsukaichi begins broadcasting in the Chūgoku region of Japan.
March 1: ADN Radio Chile, a sports and news service, begins broadcasting on 91.7 MHz FM from Santiago.
June 1: The eXpat Chart is launched on 4 English-language radio stations across Europe.[2]
November 1: Big 106.2 is launched in Auckland, New Zealand.[3]
date unknown: Iraqi public radio station Aredo FM begins broadcasting from Baghdad.[4]

gollark: It is generally considered good for the costs of gifts between you to equalise over time. So to skip transaction costs you should simply not exchange money and recommend products to each other periodically.

gollark: If you are giving someone a thing, if they can purchase it themselves, it is strictly better for them for you to just give them the money it would cost and a recommendation for that gift.
