1992 Fresno State Bulldogs football team
The 1992 Fresno State Bulldogs football team represented California State University, Fresno[note 1] during the 1992 NCAA Division I-A football season as a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). This was the team's first year in the WAC, after spending the previous 23 seasons in the PCAA / Big West. The team was led by head coach Jim Sweeney, in his fifteenth year, and played home games at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, California. They finished the 1992 season as co-champions of the WAC, with a record of nine wins and four losses (9–4, 6–2 WAC).

Fresno State earned a postseason bowl game after the 1992 season. They faced USC in the Freedom Bowl, winning 24–7. By winning the Freedom Bowl, Fresno State finished at No. 24 in the post-season AP rankings.
