1989 Special Honours (New Zealand)
The 1989 Special Honours in New Zealand was a Special Honours List, dated 6 February 1989, in which two appointments were made to the Order of New Zealand and one judge received a knighthood.[1][2]

gollark: But they're *choosing* to do whatever you say for their own bizarre reasons.
gollark: Generally we'd call it a "position of power" if they are actually able to do bad things of some sort to you i.e. fire you, harm you socially, whatever else.
gollark: Which I don't think actually works here?
gollark: "Coercion" seems like it would be "threatening bad consequences if you don't do a thing".
