1985 Singaporean presidential election
An election was held on 30 August 1985 to elect the President of Singapore.[1] It was held following the resignation of President Devan Nair on 28 March 1985.

Wee Kim Wee was unanimously elected by the Parliament of Singapore as president.[2]
During the election, 73 members of Parliament were present and five members were absent.[3]
Wee was sworn in as president on 2 September 1985.[4]
