1983 World Netball Championships
The 1983 World Netball Championships was the sixth staging of the World Netball Championships, the premier tournament in international netball that is held every four years since its inception in 1963. The 1983 tournament took place between 11 to 24 June and was held in Singapore. It was contested by 14 teams which included two debutantes (Hong Kong and Malaysia). After going through the first round undefeated, Australia would come out as champions winning all three of the matches in the final round to record their fifth title. New Zealand finished in second while Trinidad and Tobago came in third.[1][2]
