1968–69 Olt County Championship

The 1968–69 Olt County Championship was the 1st season of the Liga IV Olt, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The inaugural season of the Olt County Championship was contested by 11 clubs and CFR Caracal will remain in the history of the competition as the first county football champion.[1]

The game was held in three rounds. In a tour, CFR Caracal - Petrolul Târgoviște 2-2 scored: Toma'12 and Pătru'46 for the hosts, Becleanu'4 and Iancu'46 for the guests. In return the game ended with the same score 2-2 and so it took the third game, no penalty kicks or extensions were given. The team prepared by Professor Pîrvulescu loses by 1-0 the third game played on neutral ground at Ștefănești, Argeș County. Referee: Ioan Chilibar from Pitești.
