1931 Western State Hilltoppers football team

The 1931 Western State Hilltoppers football team represented Western State Normal School (later renamed Western Michigan University) as an independent during the 1931 college football season. In their third season under head coach Mike Gary, the Hilltoppers compiled a 5–2 record and outscored their opponents, 86 to 51.[1][2] Fullback Al Briggs was the team captain.[3]
