gollark: There's also whatever the bee prototypes do, the sheer insanity of whatever empty slots in arrays mean, the lack of maps with non-string keys until recently, the inconsistent APIs browsers have accreted over the years, no good module system until ES6ish, and the fact that important features such as any iterators whatsoever got added late and so are barely supported.
