005

005 is a 1981 arcade game by Sega. Sega advertised it as the first of their RasterScan Convert-a-Game series, designed so that it could be changed into another game in minutes "at a substantial savings".[2] It is one of the first examples of a stealth game.[3][4][5] In this "James Bond-inspired" game,[6] the player's mission is to take a briefcase of secret documents to a waiting helicopter. The player controls a spy who must avoid the enemies as he makes his way through buildings and warehouses, where he will have to dodge the enemies' flashlights and use boxes as hiding spots.[7]

Arcade cabinet

The game came in a generic wood-grain panel cabinet. The sticker sideart was optional, which made it easy to change the games around when necessary. The game boards were Sega G80 compatible, and will work in any such cabinet. As with most early Sega titles, the monitor is vertically mounted. The bezel around the monitor sported the standard instructions; the marquee showed a "005" logo and a flashlight.

High score

Dwayne Richard holds the Guinness World Records high score for this game with a maximum possible 1,500,000 points.[8]

gollark: Er. What?
gollark: M.2 is just a different form factor. There are NVMe M.2 SSDs (PCIe-based, faster - though for most usage it's not distinguishable) and SATA-based M.2 (like a 2.5" SATA drive on a convenient "stick").
gollark: But not really.
gollark: also, it would be cheaper to just get an external WiFi card usually.
gollark: MSI boards often have support for flashing a new BIOS without a CPU installed.
