Theegum was a banderbear who worked in the armoury of New Sanctaphrax for Seftis Bule. She took Cade around the armoury for the first time and they became friends when Cade began to work for the armoury. Through her, Cade began to understand the banderbear language. Later Theegum descended to the scree field with Cade and the other descenders where they discovered Groundrise.

Early Life

When Theegum was very young, she was captured by Mire-pearlers and was cruelly taught to dance at the end of heated daggers. In frustration she later killed her "chief tormenter" with her tusks and escaped to New Sanctaphrax.
