Thadeus Quarter, an academic of Great Glade formed the basic ideas that started the Fourth Age of Flight. Knowing his ideas would be considered heresy by his enemy Quove Lentis he handed his notes to his son Cade. When Cade fled to the Farrow Ridges,Thorne Lammergyre developed a new kind of machinery based on Thadeus' calculations.
