Spillins was the oakelf lookout on board the sky pirate ship, the Galerider. Old and wise, Spillins had served aboard the Galerider for over sixty years, through the captaincy of Hurricane Razorflit, Rain Quarm, Wind Jackal, and Cloud Wolf. Unlike most lookouts, Spillins had a genuine caterbird nest. Like many oakelves, Spillins was able to see the "auras" of individuals.
