Lufwoods
Lufwoods were Deepwoods trees in the second order of buoyant wood that gave off purple flames and floated when burned[1]. Wood from these trees was the preferred firewood of woodtrolls and they tiled the floors of their cabins with lufwood, too[2]. It was also used in woodtroll funerals – for example, when Tuntum Snatchwood passed away, his body was sent into Open Sky on a lufwood platform lit by his adopted son, Twig Verginix[3]. Quint Verginix burned himself with a lufwood log when he first visited the Palace of Shadows and met Maris Pallitax[4]. A notable stand of lufwood trees was at Lufwood Mount, where the Battle of Lufwood Mount took place[5].
