Glorious Revolution
The Glorious Revolution was a small-scale skirmish that took place during the Third Age of Flight. It was a revolt fought between the citizens of Hive allied with disgruntled members of the Hive Militia against Kulltuft Warhammer, his loyalists, and the authoritarian Clan Chiefs that ruled the city of Hive. Following the Hive Milita's crushing defeat at the hands of the Great Glade Militia during the Battle of the Midwood Marshes, the people of Hive turned their attentions to their leaders, who had initiated the battle. The citizens, disillusioned by the senseless loss of life, laid the blame for the losses on their rulers.
Once the news had reached the city that Hive had lost, the citizens of Low Town rioted. In retaliation, Kulltuft Warhammer ordered dissenters and their entire families exterminated.[1]
Hive's citizens marched on the city-state's Clan Hall, demanding regime change.[2] Alongside civilians, soldiers of the Hive Militia stormed the building and 'took their revenge' against those they blamed for the Battle of the Midwood Marshes and the murders of innocents.[1]
The revolution's result was the murder of Kulltuft Warhammer by his deputy, Firemane Clawhand, Firemane's subsequent execution by barrelling for his crimes, and the installation of a democratically elected council.
The hero of the Glorious Revolution was Cade Quarter's friend, Thorne Lammergyre, who served under Sergeant Rampton Gleep during his service in the Hive Militia's First Low Town Regiment.[3] He led the charge through the Clan Hall's door and helped kill many loyalists.[1]
