Ghostwaifs

Ghostwaifs were one of the more common varieties of waif found in the Nightwoods. Like all waifs, they possessed the ability to communicate silently via telepathy. They had pale, mottled skin and, like greywaifs and copperwaifs, had four long, ringed barbels protruding from around their mouths. During the Third Age of Flight, some chose to settle at Riverrise[1], but some remained wild, preying on unwary travellers on the Waif Trail[2].
