Chafe Sireswill was a Hive Militia soldier who was conscripted into the First Low Town Regiment and fought and died in the Battle of the Midwood Marshes. He was Thorne Lammergyre's childhood friend and died as Thorne looked on.

In the battle, Chafe was gravely wounded. He lost his arm, a gaping hole opened in his stomach, and the left side of his face was mangled irreparably; his jaw was broken, his left eye socket was crushed, and his left eyeball was destroyed.

Chafe bled out in the Midwood Marshes.
