Black-diamonds
Black-diamonds or black diamonds were precious gemstones found in the Northern Mines, which could be made into jewelry. The Great Sky Whale had a small but priceless amount of them on board, acquired from glintergoblins[1].
When Bungus Septrill was reunited with Linius Pallitax, the High Librarian gave the Most High Academe a healing remedy, which was said to sparkle and glitter, as if black-diamond dust had been mixed in[2]. The twinkling of stars was likened to polished black-diamonds[3]. The wings of woodmoths were said to sparkle like black diamonds in the moonlight[4]. Golderayce One-Eye had jewelry encrusted with black diamonds[5]. The water-tipped thorns of the Thorn Forests were said to glitter like black diamonds[6].
