Is there a keyboard shortcut to return to previous position?

The Shift + F5 seems to be back to last "editing position", rather than the last position of the cursor

1Doesn't work for me in MS Word 2013 on Win 10 – Vito Gentile – 2017-01-23T10:48:01.903

Works for Word 2016. (Mentioned so people would know). – Taru – 2017-01-23T11:50:27.687

I have "Microsoft Professional Plus 2010". Word reports its version as 14.0.6129.5000 (32-bit). Running on Win7. This answer works for me. – UuDdLrLrSs – 2017-03-22T15:45:17.427

Works on Microsoft Word 2016 MSO 64-bit. – ukhardy – 2017-08-06T23:04:49.370

What is the name of this command? (so that it can be added to the toolbar). It is not "GoBack", which goes to previous edit. – Dmitri – 2017-08-22T01:47:29.047

4@Dmitri: Ctrl+Alt+Z/Shift+F5 is "GoBack" and Alt+Left is "WebGoBack". – Cameron – 2017-09-21T20:10:04.957

You can use the keyboard shortcut for that command: Alt + Left Arrow.

Works better than the accepted answer, Also easier to use, as it does not require 3 key presses. – IFink – 2019-10-06T16:51:15.723
